I've been testing these lights for a long time and find them pretty cool. Yes, the main light is basically a decent handlebar mount flashlight. I don't see that as a problem. I have some very expensive custom bike lights and they are pretty much the same. Almost every bike light that has a battery and attaches to the handlebars is just a flashlight that attaches to the handlebars. Everything is good! I would probably not use this lamp alone in the middle of the forest. This is a great helmet mounted light if you are using another bike light on your handlebars and want to amplify that light and see what you see when you turn your head. (This requires additional bracing and I'm just offering ideas here). This is a great flashlight if you're just getting into night driving and don't want to spend a lot of money on something you like or don't like. This is a great flashlight for commuters and street racers who want to be safe and seen on the road. Eventually he will have no problem using it as a backup light and leaving it in my backpack for a flashlight and emergency flashlight for night riding. when everything becomes real in the forest!. The seatpost light is very similar to most of these style lights. This is a rubberized plastic light that can be stretched out and attached to the seat post. It's okay for a freebie, to be honest, but it's not built as well as the main light. The main light is all metal and durable, this light is a bit cheap. That being said, it's very good at alerting others that you're on roads and trails, and I'll keep it in my pocket to use. Overall I am very happy with this set and would recommend it to anyone.
