I have an LG V30+ and it definitely works. When it's plugged in or doing very intense activity, it feels very hot, like you've just brewed tea from boiling water. The problem is that even though you're not doing anything, the adapter randomly disconnects. I thought it was my phone so I tried the proprietary PROPER adapter, it works. After three random disconnects, my card could not be recognized, my phone asked me to format the SD card. I put this 128GB mSD in my computer and it got corrupted. Luckily I was able to recover the files. Although it was a capacity size issue, I tried a spare 32GB SD card - this mSD card is an early mSD so it's very slow and old, no it's the same, it will connect recognize and read, but the connection is randomly disconnected and eventually corrupted. EDIT: All of this happens within a day.
