Review on Sony WIC400/L Wireless Behind-Neck In-Ear Headphones, Blue by Jeremy Keller

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very good battery life. The sound is ok. The collar may not fit around your neck.

Bought used for $30 because I needed a pair of bluetooth headphones with long battery life. Wouldn't recommend them at full price. Sound quality is acceptable but cutting at high frequencies, especially at higher volumes. Your mileage may vary depending on how well the included headphones fit you. Replacing them with matching foam tips reduced the shrillness and hiss (still present but not painful at higher volumes). The battery life is very good. They appear to be accurate in their advertised 12-hour runtime, but the best part is that they expire very slowly. in standby mode (unlike BeatsX, for example, which constantly runs out of battery regardless of whether something is being played). I turned it on for 36 hours of standby and light use (about 6 hours of calls) and the battery was "weak" but not dead. According to Sony's website, these headphones only support Bluetooth SBC and AAC (no aptx) codecs, so in theory they should sound better on devices that support Bluetooth AAC, but in this audio performance category it probably won't make a noticeable difference. The main problem with these headphones is the collar. It's a stiff material. So if it doesn't fit your neck, you will feel like you're wearing a shirt that's too tight around your neck.
