Many hotels offer a small coffee maker in the room, sufficient for the first cup of coffee in the morning. But if you want tea, you can't just heat water in a coffee maker - otherwise you'll end up with coffee-flavored tea. I love coffee, but I don't like my tea tasting like coffee. This is where this mini kettle shines! I recently took it on a trip and was so happy to be able to really enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea in my room. I have a handmade ceramic mug that fits perfectly in the teapot along with my selection of teas so everything fits nicely in the teapot in the drawstring travel pouch that is provided. The kettle worked great and the water boiled quickly. I look forward to using this kettle on many trips in the future.
