Don't be discouraged by missing vacuum straps for my Eureka. This old model that eliminated the need to turn the whisk and breathe through the thick silencer that was once a HEPA filter has become a real portable vacuum cleaner. I even modified it with an extra length of hose I pulled from an old non-working model that was going to be sent to the landfill. find it invigorating and almost hilarious. The adrenaline rush that accompanies the feeling of all those "amplifiers" at my fingertips. it almost makes me forget how much longer and physically tiring vacuuming the house has become. If someone had ever told me that I wasn't particularly intimidated by the prospect of cleaning my house the same way I clean my car, I wouldn't have believed them. So I'm in no hurry to find out what happened to this belt. My modified power vacuum is something I will not part with, even if I get a replacement. It seems I now have a passion for vintage household electronics that accompanies my passion for vintage audio gear. I have to grow old
