I rarely comment on anything I've personally bought from AMAZON - this welding machine is amazing, small , compact, at a great price. My experience is more than 15 years; 3 years - welding of pipelines (own installation) of all phase types; aluminum arc, mig and tig, st. steel iron. I have never liked using a 6013 rod (light sheet metal) as I have 6010 (DC only), 6011 (ACorDC) and 7018. I made a pigtail for my welder since my new house already had a 220 outlet in the garage, and didn't want to change the outlet just for the welder. He came as promised and fixed the customer's iron table right out of the box the same evening it arrived. Iron corner 3/16. The original table top was 1" square tubing and was used outdoors. The tubing was not primed and rusted from the inside - main cause of rust is the welding process. Here is just a little understanding of arc welding rods; the first 2# is the tensile strength of the rod , "60" means "60,000", the next #1 means all positions and the last is the flux.By all positions I mean you can walk in an arc, flat, vertical, horizontal or overhead. The highest rating is 7018 and that rod is pull while 60's are pushers.As for the work of that welder on 110 - not mine but I'll let you know later.The braid cost me $26 and the wire is from an old dry remake, since I have a handyman service and I always have 10 gauge line stored 180-250 degrees If the flux has broken down the middle towards the end of the rod it is no longer usable.
