Big. But why should I use it?

1. No m.2 slot on motherboard2. Want to keep all SATA ports intact3. Aesthetics This thing is great for what it does. I have m.2 slots on my z390 MSI Gaming Edge AC motherboard, but I didn't want to put the m.2 nvme in the connector next to the i9 9900k, I wanted to put it next to the GPU. If I used the m.2 slot under my GPU I would lose 2 SATA ports. Then things get clean. You can insert the PCIe card into the bottom slot or the slot under your graphics card. Just make sure you don't use your GPU's parallel ports, otherwise your graphics card will drop to 8x instead of a maximum of 16x, resulting in around 5-10% FPS loss in games. Also, do not connect this card to the PCIe above your graphics card or you will reduce the GPU performance back to x8. In my configuration, I have a GPU in a PCIE 3.0 x16 slot, a FireWire card for the audio interface in a PCIE 3.0 x1 slot, and an m.2 adapter card. (it is) in a PCIE 3.0 x4 slot. This allows my NVME to still run at 100% performance and I don't lose my GPU's x16 functionality. PCIE 3.0 x4 still allows transfers of up to 3.9 GB per second. PCIE 2.0 x4 still allows transfers of up to 1.6 GB per second. PCIE 2.0 x2 still allows transfers up to 800MB per second and regular SATA III up to 600MB/s. So if you're restoring your old PC with this simple adapter, it's worth it. I have a relatively cheap M.2 NVME with 740 MB/s and that's more than enough for me. The Samsung Evo 860 Sata III has around 550MB/s and my 3. If you want the fastest m.2 go for the Samsung Evo 870/860/850. Just think about what PCIE channel you are using and what generation it is (3.0 or 2.0). If you plug SATA m.2s into NVME slot, your m.2 will not be recognized. It plugs into the top slot and requires a SATA connection to an open SATA port. However, you are limited to a maximum speed of 600 Mbit/s. M.2 sata - key b, nvme is included in the bottom slot of the adapter. The speed will not be reduced compared to the actual NVME slot on your motherboard. I ran Crystal Mark to make sure the LEDs were very bright, so I took a screwdriver and pulled them out. They are about 10% longer than a matchstick and about twice as thin. Solution for those who don't like red flashing light. The adapter also comes with good heatsinks. I am happy with this adapter for what it is. B-Key/M-Key adapter without cable, search on ebay. I found one for about $30. It has a converter that this card doesn't have, hence the SATA cable. As said, NVME doesn't need it.
