My old Sony CDP-302 has not been used for many years and the drawer would not open and close securely. When playing a CD it would skip and go back to the beginning of the track. I watched a YouTube video and bought this set of two straps. I literally spent hours fixing this CD player. I used a good quality lube instead of the original lube and moved the slider back and forth. I installed new belts and they were very tight and prevented the engine from turning. I thought I might need a new engine. I put the original belt on the motor pulley and the drawer opened and closed, but then the original belt started to slip. The next day I put the new engine belt back on. Apparently the secondary strap had a chance to stretch and the drawer opened and closed. My old Sony CDP-302 is working as of this writing.
