I made a slide for the table out of oak, like pine
These slides work effortlessly. Application is easy and they stick securely to a flat surface. I used four of these and attached the legs to a rather ugly oak table. It was difficult to slide on carpeted floors; and with these slides it's like gliding on ice. Excellent goods. Used them on a few sofas and loveseat chairs many years ago - they worked then and are as good as ever. Gotta love teflon sheets.
