I recently bought this lens to add to a set that includes many Canon L lenses including 50 1.2, 135 2.0, 70-200 2.8. Not saying I own multiple lenses, I'd like to provide context for what may be an overly enthusiastic review. The Tamron 35 focuses faster than any other lens of the same length. It focuses to around 11-12 inches so it can be used for some applications in macro photography. It produces beautiful bokeh and images are sharper than any other Canon lens I've owned. The digital gojo comes with a tap in the console, although I didn't need any lens micro-adjustments. It also includes some other accessories. Tamron's claims about this lens aren't just hype, they've created an incredible lens at a great price. I don't know of any lens other than Fifty-Fifty that would cost the same for a dollar.
