Despite the one star ratings, this bed holds up. It's comfortable and the mattress isn't thin. The slats are made in European style and are more reliable. The lock works well but the thick mattress has to be slid between the frames at the top. Then it closes without a problem. If assembled correctly, it cannot fall apart. This is my second and I'm renting a room. I'll order a third if needed. Everyone said it was convenient. I see the cause of every problem with a star. This is memory foam, it's better and more comfortable. No, they didn't ask me to write it. But I'm often discouraged by one star reviewers. Now I even see it differently.
