Review on πŸ”§ Upgraded Ender 3/Pro/V2 & CR-10/Tornado 3D Printer: 2-Pack T8 Anti Backlash Spring Loaded Nut, Brass Nuts with Elimination Gap for 8mm Acme Threaded Rod by Will Anderson

My problem has been solved: Linear Motion Leadscrews

I had a sticking problem initially (as did a few others) but was able to solve it with the Basstronics tip recommended by a previous reviewer. The problem is caused by misalignment of the v-wheel mount and motor coupler, which was only apparent because the previous nut had so much play that it wasn't noticeable. So I removed the bracket and bent it a bit in a vise to align it (front/back) along the y-axis. Once that was done, it still didn't line up with x. I cut a strip from a scored aluminum can to expose the rod and made a spacer to place on one side of the two mounting screws to allow the rod to line up perfectly on the x-axis. I used a 5-8mm motor spring coupler and put a 1/4" bearing ball between the rod and the motor shaft. Once that was done I cleaned the rod with a paper towel dipped in rubbing alcohol (soaked in the drill) and then Lubricated with PTFE grease it has never been this smooth and precise and the anti-backlash nut solves my Ender 3's dodgy ABL problem. Very satisfied.
