
I used this on pine. On the can, the picture shows a nice, consistent gray that still shows the grain. I sanded my wood down to 400 grit. After the first coat I had many areas that hardly took any color, so I went back over those areas with a second coat. It came out SUPER streaky, and for reasons I can't understand, the knots turned ORANGE. I'm just hoping that the color can be stripped with bleach, as the instructions on the can suggest, so all this wood isn't wasted. If your wood has no knots, this probably would work okay depending on your desired outcome.
