We just received this. This appears to be a new product so thought I'd add a review to help others. It seems to work great for both me and my husband. Read the instructions: The device should be aimed at the forehead, between the eyebrows and just above the level of the eyebrows. Not anywhere else. In addition, the device must not be more than 3 centimeters away from the skin. Following these instructions we got what seems reliable. (I get 1 degree Fahrenheit colder than my husband on any thermometer.) I gave it a 4 because it says "this is a sensitively calibrated device" so "keep it in its original packaging" because obviously if you get dust and dirt in it it won't work. The packaging is not suitable for long-term storage.
