Light weight in tool bags

They appear to be made of very porous or fibrous wood. I've only used about 6 of these and it's been a low-stress app. I usually just cut my own dowels from the bar. Maybe the texture will help absorb the glue. I can't say anything about the long-term performance. The box is cute, I expected a little more for 400 dowels.
