What I was looking for

Update (2 years later): My piercing is healthy and clean! No problems or infections anywhere! Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product given the low price. Also, I used a few things for the piercing: Provon Medicated Chloroxylenol Antibacterial Soap and H2Ocean Aftercare Spray. I got my belly button pierced with this set and it was almost perfect. First I soaped my hands with medicated soap and then treated the puncture site with alcohol swabs. I pinched the injection site with my fingers because I'm incredibly lucky with clamps and pushed the needle through quickly and easily. Not because I'm super hardcore or anything, but because these needles are amazingly sharp and very effective. There was very little excess blood flow (they are hollow, so as they pass through tissue blood seems to pool on the inside of the pointed tip) and immediately after the piercing I wiped the jewelry with an alcohol swab. I also wiped away all the blood with an alcohol swab. The jewel (14g for my navel) fits perfectly and I don't feel uncomfortable. I cleaned it in the shower with chloroxylenol soap and rinsed with a warm, slightly damp washcloth. After that I use H2Ocean and there is no smell of infection anywhere. I will update this review in a few months and let you know how my piercing is doing. If you find that your piercing is causing you discomfort after a few days of wearing the gemstone, treat it with hydrogen peroxide. a week long. If you still have discomfort, remove the jewelry and treat the exposed area with hydrogen peroxide until it closes/heals. Talk to your local professional tattoo and piercing parlor. Note: The second pair of alcohol wipes dried up on me, probably because I opened the second pack too early. I think it's my fault. If you want to make your own sterile wipes (which I don't recommend, but you probably will), take a nonwoven (like Dynarex sponges) and soak it in isopropyl alcohol solution for at least half an hour, and then work the piercing/injection area. Thank you for reading! was it helpful? Let me know :)
