This is a good cleaner, often better than cleaners like Comet and Ajax. I would use this cleaner much more often, except the jar doesn't have a lid or way to seal the contents from the environment. Once you remove the tape covering the holes in the top of the jar, the contents are exposed to the air. Place the jar under the sink and the cleaner will absorb moisture from the environment and thicken inside the jar. Bartenders Friend is the ONLY cleaning jar I know of that doesn't have a flip top lid or at least a plastic lid to keep moisture out of the jar when stored. The company that makes and sells Bartenders Friend, SerVaas Laboratories, Inc. is either completely incompetent at marketing or just doesn't care, but they make this product far less appealing to the consumer. After all, I put the pouch over the jar and seal it with a rubber band between uses, how awkward and ridiculous is that?
