I have one of those giant tom cats that cannot figure out how to aim. No matter where I put the litterbox, no matter how deep it is, the wall behind is always coated in nasty boy cat pee. I tried covered boxes, but he refused to use them (I think he didn't like being so enclosed?).This thing, though. This has finally fixed the problem! The walls are high enough that he cannot possibly aim over them without some serious effort. And the sides are light and the top is uncovered, so he doesn't feel trapped when he goes in the box. Anything that hits the little plastic wall runs down into the box, and there's no leakage if you snap it on correctly. And the liner is replaceable, so you can periodically change it out and it's like a whole new clean box.
