Review on Hole Back Plate - HHIP 3900 3215 by Elvis Kimbro

Used this back plate to install an ER32 collet on my 9x20 lathe. I had to do some minor machining to attach the insert to my lathe and the chuck to the back plate after it was installed on the lathe. This was to be expected and indeed necessary to achieve an accurate fit. Expect the same when you buy this backplate. The material looks like cast steel, not cast iron, and is well made. There was a lot of material on the ledge at the front of the plate to allow for the notch at the back of the cartridge to be machined.
