This model is definitely suitable for typical home use. Much better than Wilkins NR3XL. I've been using a 1" Wilkins NR3XL pressure reducing valve (their most basic model) on my plumbing for about 4 years. I've always been frustrated with the pressure drop on the simplest flow requirement. To put some numbers aside, my inlet pressure is about 100psi and I set the outlet pressure to 60psi.On the second requirement like flushing the toilet, the pressure dropped over 30psi (down to about 30psi).I've typically had an operating pressure of between 25-40psi at typical loading.I did some research and read that this model has much better throughput (i.e. less pressure drop when needed) I installed it and took new pressure readings under load Operating the kitchen sink faucet now results in a 3psi drop Add a toilet flush and add a sink run and the total drop is still less than 10psi Now I rarely see an operating pressure drop below 50p you The pressure is now much less variable.
