I pierced both tragus with needles. They are so sharp I didn't even feel the needle go through the fabric. Piercing needles are great, just wish they had bigger gauges for 14 gauge rings. You must use 14 gauge for a 16 gauge ring. Give the piercing more room while it swells and heals, you also cannot insert a 16 gauge piercing into a 16 gauge needle. The clamps are flimsy, but I wasn't expecting much from them. Did the job anyway. Everything went very well, I am satisfied with my purchase.
