I do not recommend; visually grainy and physically uncomfortable

TL; DR - Too bad I didn't spend $35 on it. I'll look for a generic matte screen protector and call it good; They changed my mind that I needed something like a paper texture because multitouch was a bit bad. And the grainy "screen door effect" they have is slight, but enough that I don't want to bother with it. They're not bad, but they're not good enough for this picky nerd. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::: : :::::::: Unfortunately, I have to turn it down. They introduce too much "noise" into the picture, like those old, inferior anti-glare screens for phones. It's really not enough to be particularly distracting *unless* you're using your iPad for things that need close scrutiny like illustrations, photo editing, etc. It's a lot harder for me to see the finer details in Procreate now . without moving the image back and forth to determine if those tiny dots are from the touch-up brush I'm using or the annoying visual effect of a screen protector. It's minor, but it is; and this is enough to be a significant disadvantage for this amateur artist. If you don't have keen eyesight or don't spend a lot of time *actually* staring at a screen, you can safely ignore this part; for video, web surfing, etc. I don't notice it at all. Although I originally thought the texture of the screen should be closer to paper, the texture of these things just isn't what I had in mind. I was thinking somewhere between the usual cheap printer paper and the prettier paper you see in office supplies (you know, nice fabric with a bit of cotton or something?), or maybe even a textured US dollar bill. But these protective films are much closer to ultra-fine sandpaper. They're not exactly rough, but rougher than matte (if that makes sense). The texture itself isn't so uncomfortable that it's a negative for me, but I've come to the conclusion that multi-touch gestures are now less reliable because of it. For example, three-finger swipe to delete a layer in Procreate is now random; It seems that it's the friction of these protectors that makes my fingers twitch just enough to interrupt the gestures. Small but annoying. Be that as it may, textures draw a little better with an Apple Pencil than on a bare screen. However, it is less comfortable with a stylus with a mesh tip. What these protectors have just isn't up to my personal preference to really be blown away by it. If it weren't for the multi-touch and visual issues, I'd rate the texture as a solid "Yes, I think it's ok." out of 10. But due to the problems they cause, I have to remove it from my iPad and buy something else. :(I just want to say that this doesn't seem like a particularly bad product - it's just overpriced. I believe these good reviews from people who seem happy with theirs, but personally that won't work for me. IF you want to really that your iPad has a slightly rough / gritty (not grainy - grippy) texture and you're not one of those keen-eyed people who easily spot visual imperfections and distortions (you know who you are) then I think they'll be fine They work.Unfortunately I just don't like texture that big and my eye will never see that grainy effect now like I do on your other devices.Sorry, SurfaceTEC.
