As with most do-it-yourself installations, you would expect something unexpected to come up during installation, however, with this product that didn't happen. I went online and found a youtube video of this being installed and went step by step and it was far, far easier than I had anticipated. The design of the product was easy to install in about a 12-inch space between the concrete wall of the garage and where the opener connects to the garage. It slid right over the rod and bolted on and immediately worked after using the very intuitive learning for the up and down setting on the garage. Overall I'm very pleased and definitely considering one of these for my full size garage door to eliminate the chain and motor overhead.
