If you're like me taking online courses that require an external webcam for monitoring, I'd highly recommend this device. This is the best product in the price range. Most surveillance programs require you to hold your ID card up to your webcam to take a picture, and this webcam lets you do that while keeping the image sharp. However, please note: THIS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY. You need to remove the case (this is easy to do without tools) and then loosen the three small screws holding the plate. Exposing the inside you can see a tiny piece of adhesive holding what appears to be a cog wheel surrounding the camera. I took a tiny flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the glue comb. Be very careful as this will void your warranty and it is very fragile. You can adjust the focus by turning the gear wheel clockwise or counterclockwise. Be very careful when doing this, over-rotating the gear wheel may disassemble the camera lens. I have two cats so I didn't want to risk leaving the lids off. I screwed the plates back on after adjusting the focus so I could get a close-up of my ID clearly.
