I needed a temp/humidity gauge for my basement to see if there was a big difference between the upstairs living area and the basement. I already have indicators for the first floor of the house, so I tested them on my Honeywell thermostat and Taylor humidifier. When I checked the thermostat it was very close, slightly higher in humidity but good in temperature. I then tested it against Taylor Humidiguide and damn it was accurate on both humidity and temperature so I'm happy. The device isn't backlit, so you'll need to read it under some kind of light source. The display is nice and big, easy to read even from a distance and takes up most of the screen on this compact device. Block attached to the wall in the basement, convenient to read and operate. Once you've put it back on, you don't have to take the unit off the wall to set it up, just to change the batteries. Very good value for money, again easy to read and straight to the point, this isn't what you need!
