then restarted it again like I did on my old one

Very satisfactory for recording from vinyl to CD. I asked about auto-tracking before I bought it and got mixed answers. I am replacing an old recorder and with that unit you had to hover over the phono to catch it at the end of a song, stop the recorder, reset the needle at the end of the prior song and restart the recording for the next track. This one allows you to end a track and begin the next track with your remote. With most albums this worked perfectly, but I recorded one album that had shorter silent time between songs, and there was not time enough to pause and restart, so the next song was missing the first note. This was important to me, so I paused, moved the needle back a few seconds, then restarted it again like I did on my old one. But it is still easier with the remote. The one major drawback is that there is not a CD to CD record setting, which my old one had, but you can record from an external CD Through to auxiliary setting. I have not done that yet.Someone else mentioned that the arm seemed flimsy, but they also said it played well and I agree. The one problem I had with the arm was with a slightly warped record. The arm did not have enough weight to stay firmly in the track with a warped record, so I attached a small weight on the arm with a rubber band and it worked fine. I took it back off once I finished the warped album.I am very happy with my choice.
