Review on πŸš€ AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G 7nm 3.7GHz 6-Core 12-Thread Processor (Tray) by Eh Chit ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

In general, its pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

The problem with 2d, judging by the AMD forums, is not one of me, it also appears on the 3xxxg series. AMD does not comment on the problem in any way and, apparently, does not plan to fix it. Overall, AMD is moving in the right direction. It feels like the market for a long time lacked inexpensive processors with good integrated graphics for systems without the possibility of installing a discrete one. The solution is damp, but I think the next generations will be better. Judging by my observations, the integration is somewhere at the GT 1030 level, maybe even better, but fast memory is needed.

Pros
  • In general, a good processor with integrated graphics for a compact PC. You can even play some not very demanding games from 5-6 years ago at "medium" settings at 2.5K. Low power consumption. If you do not squeeze the juice out of the integrated graphics, it is possible to make a super quiet build with passive cooling.
Cons
  • There are problems with drivers or hardware in terms of 2d support. After a while, blinking stripes of mostly white and gray colors become noticeable on the left when rendering.
