Review on Dive into Fun with Marble Genius Run Ocean Starter by Ryan Whatley

Kids love this

This is a really cool toy. It's fun putting it together and figuring out how the pieces fit and what a different configuration would do. It gets kids thinking about what they're doing - it's not just about building something from the instructions (although younger kids can do it too). Once assembled to your specifications, it's a joy to play with - chasing the balls, putting them back in and watching them fall again. The details are transparent, which is ideal for observing the passage of the bullets. There are loops, steps, windmills and funnels. Lots of possibilities and I'm looking for a booster to expand our possibilities. Ocean Colors are beautiful shades of turquoise blue and blue. As a big bonus, my kid says he looks like the colors of Frozen (yes, anything that even looks like Frozen is a hit at our house!). The set comes with 50 balls which is great as we tend to lose things. And it's fun to watch multiple balls race. (There are only 20 marbles in Mindware). The age group ranges from 3 to 99 years. I found 3 to be a bit young to build but they can definitely play with balls once built. I would also be concerned that the balloons pose a hazard to a 3 year old. Once assembled, they may wobble depending on the child's skill, but are easy to fix with a little help from an adult. I recommend mounting on a hard floor, at least low-pile carpet, for better stability. There is also an app you can download for more steps and instructions. It's nice to have, but not essential to enjoy this set. My partner and I both agree: when we were little, we never had a toy this cool! This is definitely a cool gift.
