Make sure the spring type matches the wind load of your antenna. This is a heavily loaded spring which means small and short antennas will not bend properly. Use a light-load spring for a short 2-3 foot antenna, a medium-load spring for a 4- to 5-foot antenna, and a high-load spring for larger antennas. You may need to adjust this tip if your antenna is wider compared to a thin whip antenna, e.g. B. made of glass fiber. The extra surface increases wind load and may require you to switch from light to medium or medium to heavy.
