This light has several LED brightness settings. Pick the setting you like during installation. If you decide later that you don't like your chosen setting, unscrew the dome and change the setting. We put ours on the brightest setting like daylight (pic 1). It is really bright in the kitchen nook. Seller says that it is dimmable, but since I don't have a dimmer switch, I cannot attest to that statement. The light fixture is lightweight and made of what seems to be aluminum and plastic. You can see from my last two pictures that the frame is made out of thin metal. The dome is made of plastic. However, for $25 I think it is a good buy for what you are getting. I love the idea of not having to change lightbulbs.
