I almost returned this card because it was suffering from random disconnects. It turns out that even if Windows detects the card immediately after installation, it is very important to install the recommended driver and disable Windows power management on the card. After installing the driver, the card works fine. UPDATE: A few months later the card keeps turning off randomly. At first I thought it was driver related, but the problem persists whether using the 2012 Renasus driver or the latest Windows 1.0 driver. I've tried different peripherals and still the same behavior. The card works fantastic for a few days, then turns off and the card shows as disabled in Device Manager. I reboot and everything is fine again. For several days now. I feel like I just got a bad card, but I've already passed the return window so I'm not sure I have other options at this point. than pulling that one out and trying a different brand.
