We breed meat rabbits for our family and use these cages for our 4 breeding rabbits weighing 10-12 pounds. We didn't like the smaller ones available at our local farm shop. We can put a large bird house, hang a food bowl, hay trough and water bottle and the rabbit still has freedom of movement and will not be overcrowded with babies, so they can stay with her longer. We hang them so that the black tray underneath is unused and the wire deck is in perfect condition. They do rust a bit on the wire connections but we have a few that have been using for a few years and they are solid.
