I work with roofs and we use chalk to mark the damage. I've been told that soapstone chalk is much better and less messy than sidewalk chalk. I bought this because I liked the idea of having some sticks and a pen. I have to keep turning to keep a fresh piece and sometimes it pulls back into the handle. So far it's not all that useful and certainly not worth the extra cost.
