Worth every penny: safety
I don't have any children. I have virtual reality and a very small margin. After hitting the wall hard enough to hurt myself for the 4th time, I realized the Guardian system is only as good as the ability to pay attention to it. This approximately knee-high, infinitely adjustable gate has saved me from who knows how many bruises on my fingers. The physical guardian is much harder to ignore. I especially like the hardlock connections that make it self-contained in any configuration. My eyes hurt in my room, but it's better than my hands hurt.
