I use this scoop AFTER my 'regular' scoop to pick up all the little lumps and keep the box as clean as possible. The holes are really tiny so it didn't work at all with the old brand of litter I was using (something from a pet food store) but luckily I kept it and now it works fine with the Purina Tidy Cats litter I switched to am. I have to gradually scoop and gently sift to get the debris through the holes in the scoop, but it helps and is worth knowing the box is as clean as I can get.
