I recently bought a Freud 1-1/4" Stemmer but decided it was too small for what I do so I ordered one too It's a huge difference in sharpness from the start, the Freudian carbide is easily sharp enough to cut a finger or whatever works with it, it doesn't feel totally dull, but it's nowhere near that sharp as I would expect a new carbide cutting tool the blade should be It also had quite a bit of strong smelling lube on it which Freud didn't have either and I think it's unhealthy I haven't decided if I still have it will try once or not but tend to send it back and get another 2" make/brand. Mechanical looks good. Will update if I decide taking a risk on my router.
