I was quite skeptical about the quality of this microscope as I had bought one of the manual and app controlled endoscopes in the past and thought it was a waste of money. I looked into this because I was curious how the LCD's side-lit backlight and other features would make a digital experience. I was really surprised by the quality of the device when I connected it. The display is not high quality, so everything that is in focus of the microscope is clear. Battery life is great. I used it for a good amount of time over two days and still had all 3 battery bars. I gave it to my father, a retired senior scientist, and he was just as impressed. The accessories and controls add to the experience, particularly the side lights, which really add to the accuracy and image quality in sub-par situations. Included is to show the corner of my old postcard that would better leave me if I'm willing to spend $20 to have it professionally graded, as well as the center so you can see how sharp the colored dots are. If you have a collection of cards or coins, this can save a lot on valuation. I wish the guide was more descriptive as some users might want it right away to get the most out of the box. So what I'm really saying is that if you're willing to pay for a computer microscope in this price range, you should have no hesitation in putting this guy on your shortlist.
