Great gift for kids who love the outdoors

My son loves it! he is 7 years old - perfect for looking at the wings of a butterfly, the petrified frog we found under a flowerpot last fall, the skin on our hands, our hair and the like! (Magnification is not intended to see bacteria or the interior of plant cells.) With the help of my 15-year-old son, my son immediately mastered the focus, photo, and video functions with ease. We haven't tried downloading or transferring anything to our computer yet, but when we do I'll update this review…

I compared several similar "microscopes "

I liked the following: - Easy to use - Much stronger and does not wobble compared to all plastic models - The inscriptions on the buttons are easy to read (some mark their buttons with the same screen frame color ) - Extra lights are nice, but won't be, but really close to the subject - The remote control is very handy. You can stamp photos without touching or shaking the screen. - It shows depth better than some similar products. Shadows/sometimes distortion at the edge of the image, but not…

I was quite skeptical about the quality of this microscope as I had bought one of the manual and app controlled endoscopes in the past and thought it was a waste of money. I looked into this because I was curious how the LCD's side-lit backlight and other features would make a digital experience. I was really surprised by the quality of the device when I connected it. The display is not high quality, so everything that is in focus of the microscope is clear. Battery life is great. I used it for

Excellent microscope and viewer

Pretty good microscope - better than many I've tried in the past. The main difference is that the image is sharp and crisp and not the wide-angle fisheye image I've seen with other digital microscopes. The instructions were poorly translated into English which doesn't make much sense. There are no setup and connection instructions, but it's pretty hard to get confused. The side of the box shows the microscope sitting in a stand that bolts to the base. What they don't show you is that a white…

Excellent digital microscope. Exceeded expectations.

I bought this digital microscope for my lectures at the university, where I teach students in class and via zoom at the same time. The USB function is a real plus. I was able to easily plug it in and switch from webcam to microscope during a Zoom meeting. This allowed the students in the classroom to see what I was doing on the projection screen, while the students at home could watch on their computer screens with excellent resolution. Being able to take photos or videos with the microscope at
