Excellent microscope and viewer

Pretty good microscope - better than many I've tried in the past. The main difference is that the image is sharp and crisp and not the wide-angle fisheye image I've seen with other digital microscopes. The instructions were poorly translated into English which doesn't make much sense. There are no setup and connection instructions, but it's pretty hard to get confused. The side of the box shows the microscope sitting in a stand that bolts to the base. What they don't show you is that a white silicone strap was provided to keep the microscope in place more securely. Due to the lack of instructions I went to YouTube to find a video. I found several but none helped me with assembly and wiring. So the first wire is obviously for the remote, and it's a round plug that can only go in one place. The other is a mini-USB connector, which is probably designed to connect to a cellphone or computer. The second cable was a standard USB B to USB mini cable, which allows you to charge the viewer with any USB charger (not included). This kit contains a USB memory stick with a driver for use with Windows computers. It also has a 32GB mini card for storage. I didn't have the calibration overlay like I've seen in other videos, but I don't need it. The on-screen setup is quite intuitive. The remote control duplicates the buttons already below the viewer. "M" - mode selection button. The OK button selects an option in the menu, the "M" button (mode) takes you one step back. There are up and down arrows in the menu, and there aren't too many options (resolution, ISO, date and time, etc.). The main thing is a stable platform, and the microscope has its own set of LEDs. The two lights on the platform are on flexible extension cords, but you must use a USB cable to power the lights on the base stand. They have their own dimmer on the back of the stand. Great little microscope. You can capture images directly from the viewer or download them to your computer. The field of view is about 1cm at maximum distance, less when you are closer to the lens. Note that the tripod can be lowered to get closer and that the focus ring is around the microscope objective itself. Coins and hallmarks are particularly easy to distinguish.
