They are perfect. Our district league uses the school pitches for practicing, there are no bases on the pitches. I bought these for my kid to use in the garden and they are very easy to pick up and throw in the car for practice. We love her. A season behind and many more to go with them. It is best to lay them out on a flat surface or roll them up. So far they have not folded or folded, but there are marks on the gum. They're already pretty strong, and laying them flat or turning them will only help make them last a lot longer.
