Our 9 year old son loves comics. He loves to read them, look at them, play tricks on them; If it's related to the comics, he's all for it. As part of his training, we encouraged him to make up his own comic book stories, but he never had the confidence to try. He got it for Christmas and was dying to try it. He immediately grabs a handful of printer paper (because it didn't come with any paper), sits down at his desk, opens his suitcase and begins trying to draw comics. Even though his initial job wasn't going too well, he kept working and trying, and before we knew it, his comics were starting to come to life. He thought it was so cool that it gave him the confidence to be happy, try and fail, and then try again. Fine tips meant a lot to him and it became his new favorite hobby, drawing comics.
