Tape measure slipped out - won't attach

Pros: I liked the display feature of this tape measure. Suggestion for improvement: Some backlighting would be nice in darker environments. I used it in a closed factory environment and had to use my phone to read the display. Cons: The ribbon slipped/pulled out of the holder on the third use. There is no way to attach it from the inside. It is held in place with a small notch carved into a tiny tongue. I opened the case and hoped I could fix it, but no way - ONE clip, only ONE clip could have…

Eyes aren't as good as they used to be

Eyes aren't as good as they used to be. Counting divisions on a roulette wheel is agony. Recalculating for an accurate measure caused disappointment! Enter this neat little gadget. Amazing Linear Tape

I see a lot of negative reviews but I have had nothing short of an amazing experience with this tape. My favorite feature is the ability to switch the reading method from the front of the tape measure to the back, so I can pop it in the drawer opening and measure from the inside to the side. No more cornering the bond and hoping I'm there. It's even more useful when you're measuring the back of a drawer and you can't see the tape at all. Finally a digital roulette wheel that works exactly as you hope it would and then a little bit more.

I literally have a stack of tape measures and every time I go to the hardware store I look for something new. After the weekend when family and friends came to help me with my fence/deck they had trouble reading my tape measures. Great idea, terrible execution. Poor performance and NO SUPPORT!

I rarely find time to write reviews, especially I don't leave bad ones. But I think it's important to warn buyers about this product. Great idea and would really appreciate the features if they worked. BUT when I found that I couldn't use the first one I ordered I sent it back thinking it was defective. I've tried many times using the next one I got but I find it extremely frustrating and difficult (i.e. impossible). I watched some YouTube videos and didn't find them helpful. The WORST thing is

Tape measure arrived broken (and product recommendations to seller/inventor)

I had high hopes for this tape but it arrived broken and did not display the correct digital measurements that matched the actual tape reading . I have to give the props to the inventor/seller. The seller was very responsive and even gave me his personal mobile number to help me solve my problems. Unfortunately the tape measure had to be returned for a refund but I must thank the seller/inventor for taking the time to help me and refunding my order promptly. It makes a great positive impression
