I literally have a stack of tape measures and every time I go to the hardware store I look for something new. After the weekend when family and friends came to help me with my fence/deck they had trouble reading my tape measures. Of course, most of them don't use roulette that much, so I knew they were going to have a little trouble. After hearing them complain about reading the 1/16th and 1/8th marks, I started looking for an easy-to-read tape measure. I came across this digital tape measure and it looked really cool. It is very accurate and easily switched between inch/feet/metric units. You can instantly find the center of something without using your mental powers. Like the internal/external function. Usually you will also use the edge of the tape measure as a measuring point. I had a few areas where the angle changed so I needed a really good measure of the inside. They change it to an internal measurement and I get perfect cuts every time. Another useful feature: After you've measured this far, you can reset to zero and continue measuring. Very useful for multiple measurements. The hold function is very handy, allowing you to measure blindly by pressing the hold button and get great readings without straining your neck to read in odd places. You can save the last 2 measurements for reference, this feature is great as you always have to measure twice and cut once. The ability to save measurements provides a more accurate cut to return to after getting distracted. Don't think it's for heavy loads or construction sites, but it's great for home use and moderate jobs.
