Eyes aren't as good as they used to be. Counting divisions on a roulette wheel is agony. Recalculating for an accurate measure caused disappointment! Enter this neat little gadget. No frustration for a simple DIY or honey to-do list (a life-or-death challenge to hang that curtain rod just right). Pros: For my in-store woodworking projects, this has been a delight. Good accuracy, speed and stability. Stop turning that music jewelry box into a singing ashtray for mom on Mother's Day. The display is large enough to be easy to read - it shows total inches, feet and inches, or metric units. Automatic setting button for front or back measurement (tape measure). Cons: Just a typical "this isn't quite how I want it to be". A display on the side would be nice. Kind of a pain having to line things up on the side and lean on them to read. No tears here. Wouldn't mind having the "stop and hold" button better fixed in the band. Small buttons at top against thumb are not an indicator. In the hands of a skilled craftsman this would be superb! Bought for a second wife. She just gives it to me on Saturdays and lets me and him work too. He won't leave the house. My plan failed.
