I rarely find time to write reviews, especially I don't leave bad ones. But I think it's important to warn buyers about this product. Great idea and would really appreciate the features if they worked. BUT when I found that I couldn't use the first one I ordered I sent it back thinking it was defective. I've tried many times using the next one I got but I find it extremely frustrating and difficult (i.e. impossible). I watched some YouTube videos and didn't find them helpful. The WORST thing is calling their support line and leaving a message and then nobody answers my calls. made FOUR calls; nobody came back! I HATE BEING IGNORED! Lots and lots of complaints, but the main points are: If the first measurement isn't done in one continuous motion, the digital measurement is wrong. In many situations it is necessary to change the position or slightly move the measuring tape. If any movement other than continuous tension is felt on the tape, the digital measurement is useless. Secondly, I have never been able to figure out in my life how to take parallel readings by resetting the digital readings. He took the last measurement and prevented me from continuing the measurements. I have NO shutdown and it takes about 5 minutes to shut down. This is a waste of battery and does not allow for a quick reinstall and remeasurement. The tape lock button is very difficult to press down or up, so it's very difficult to lock the tape measure where you want it, especially if you only have one hand to measure and lock. Memory reset 2 does not respond as instructed. Again, if ALL the features worked well, this would be a great product. But it requires a lot of UI help and they need to staff their customer support and take calls or at least take calls. I have spent sooo much time using this tape measure and it has been very, very frustrating.
