The hand pump threads were snapped when it arrived in the packaging so DO NOT use. However, children love them and they are one of the toys they play with the most. It is also very useful to learn how to throw and especially how to catch. Can be inflated to various pressures and diameters. Of course the dog will click them when picking them up (not the best toy for dogs). I would highly recommend the balls - do not recommend the pump (I didn't lower my overall rating because the kids are having so much fun with it).
