Review on ☕ OXO 16 Ounce Thermal Mug with SimplyClean Lid - Dark Cobalt by Shawn Xayamonty

This is a standard double wall stainless steel coffee/travel mug. It has a very nice powder coat finish and will keep your coffee/drinks hot (as you would expect). The "novelty" here is that many of these mugs are either hand wash only or have hardware and/or details that make cleaning easier. hide anger. The lid of this mug is easy to remove and all parts, including the mug itself, are dishwasher safe. Obviously, however, depending on how you load the parts, they may or may not come out as clean as you'd like. (And make sure you keep that little silicone O-ring in a safe place so it doesn't end up in the washing machine.) Cons? Well, the design of the mug itself has a threaded portion of the mug that is tapered. So if you prefer to wash your hands, you definitely need a bottle brush. And while the lid is leak-proof (so far), it doesn't sip like the simple flip-top lid I prefer. Finally, the thread direction for disassembling the lid and tightening the lid on the mug is the same, which means that when trying to tighten the lid on the mug, you may unintentionally unscrew the lid. Not the biggest problem, but seems to be an oversight by OXO. All in all a great mug that is easy to clean but has a few quirks.
