Review on Discontinued Canon MG7520 Wireless Color Cloud Printer: Scanner, Copier - White by Jacob Sriubas

Out of production so reviews don't matter

I have terribly mixed feelings about the review of this printer. I had 2 of them and the second one just died. Both encountered the same hardware failure (which is commonly thought of as built-in obsolescence) after almost exactly 2 years of use (more or less a month). Despite all that, and despite a frustrating array of connectivity and set-up features, I seriously consider paying a premium to get another one. And no, I'm not completely insane. The truth is that one area that really matters for a printer that's the best I've ever used is print quality. Both black and white text and color prints are better than everyone else. Color prints on glossy photo paper are almost indistinguishable from prints from a commercial photo lab. You'll have to figure out the paper and quality settings to find a sweet spot, but that's true of any photo-quality IME printer. for a free pint but I just don't know how to replace these amazing photos.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Expensive
