Everything works fine so far as long as the TV is properly centered on it. Unfortunately, there's little choice of hinges big enough for large TVs, which most people now have at least one of in their homes. Doesn't quite look like a real tree. Maybe similar to bamboo? Rated for loads up to 50 pounds or so, plus the added weight of the swivel itself - it would be nice if there were enough rubber feet on the underside to protect the surface of what it's sitting on. It's supposed to have six tiny rubber ribs on the bottom, which together make up a total area of about the size of two ends of an eraser. I had 5 of these (one was missing). I pulled them out and attached other rubber feet with a lot more surface area. About $45, this item is overpriced for what it is.
