The base was plastic and broke either before or during shipping. I thought about removing the bottom of the swivel and replacing it with a good quality swivel but decided to return it instead. I wasn't sure what would happen to the wooden countertop and I knew once I took it apart I couldn't return it.

We use this bar stand for a 40 inch TV. The form factor is very thin. Also, it doesn't take up much space. was surprised how quietly it turns from one position to the other. The wood quality is really good. My reason for 4 stars is that I felt the price was too high for what you get; However, we are very happy with the quality and durability.

I have a 32 inch TV in my bedroom that I watch sometimes in bed and sometimes on the seat next to me. I needed this larger size because the legs are at each end of the screen. I am happy to report that this stand works great. Rotation is smooth, like ball bearings, and stays where you set it with no drift. Looks great and supports the TV perfectly. I have no doubt that it can support a much larger TV with a center stand.

Very convenient to use. Spins easily - my 42" flat screen does it well and isn't unstable or wobbly at all. The TV's legs move from end to end on this platform. I reach out and barely touch the underside to get it in place to turn. very easy. Expensive but worth it for how well made it is and how easy it is to use. Arrived quickly. For a change I would have it in a complementary color - not just light bamboo - a darker brown, maple or Walnut would suit me better.

Everything works fine so far as long as the TV is properly centered on it. Unfortunately, there's little choice of hinges big enough for large TVs, which most people now have at least one of in their homes. Doesn't quite look like a real tree. Maybe similar to bamboo? Rated for loads up to 50 pounds or so, plus the added weight of the swivel itself - it would be nice if there were enough rubber feet on the underside to protect the surface of what it's sitting on.
